City commuter EBike. Perfect for short hops. It’s small, lightweight and foldable. It fits in my Fiat 500. It is best suited for short rides and lighter riders. The folks at DYU say their little bike will get up to 25 miles in pedal mode on a single charge if the rider is less than 150lbs. Up to 15 miles in throttle mode. I’m over 200 so I didn’t get those distances. Bottom line is I need to keep my rides under 9 miles in pedal mode or get a bike with more range. No problem. All that said. The bike is pretty cool. I’m still going to keep it as it give me an incentive to pedal which might help me in losing weight. The bike features front and rear disc brakes, a 350w motor, 36v 7.5ah battery and it folds down nice and compact.
The rack on the back is begging for a folding basket to allow use as a grocery getter. I can ride this to the grocery store and use the basket as my shopping basket. No risking locking it up outside.
You simply push the power button on the left handlebar and it’s powered up.
The right handlebar has the power level indicator. 34 lights indicate full charge and 1 means it’s getting time to charge up.
The controls are hassle-free. You just twist the throttle to start moving in pure electric mode and then if you pedal, the controller will sense your pedaling and the motor kicks in.
